Cookie Policy

This page explains the cookies and similar technologies gadovia.com uses, what each group is for, and how to turn the optional ones off. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy.

What a cookie is

A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser. Some are set by us, some by the services we use to run the shop. Similar technologies — local storage, pixels, SDKs — work the same way and are covered by this page.

The four groups

  • Strictly necessary. These keep the shop working: your cart, your session, checkout security, fraud prevention and load balancing. They cannot be switched off, because without them you could not place an order. Set mainly by Shopify, which hosts this store.
  • Functional. Remember choices you make — your country and currency selection, a dismissed banner, your recently viewed products. The "browsing history" list on this site is stored in your own browser only and is never sent to us.
  • Analytics. Tell us how many people visit, which pages they open and where they came from, in aggregate. We use this to decide what to stock and what to fix.
  • Advertising. Used to measure and target advertising on other platforms. If you decline these you will still see ads, they just will not be based on your activity here.

How to refuse the optional ones

The banner shown on your first visit lets you accept or decline functional, analytics and advertising cookies. You can change your mind at any time from the same banner or through your browser settings, and you can also use the Your Privacy Choices page to opt out of data sharing for targeted advertising.

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a request to opt out for that browser automatically.

Blocking strictly necessary cookies in your browser will break the cart and checkout. Blocking the rest will not.

Who sets them

Besides Shopify, cookies may be set by our payment providers, our analytics provider and our advertising partners. Each processes the data under its own privacy notice. We do not sell your personal data.

How long they last

Session cookies disappear when you close the browser. Persistent cookies last from a few days to a couple of years depending on their purpose. You can delete all of them at any time from your browser settings.
